I love a good story.

I am an award-winning investigative journalist whose work marries narrative non-fiction, hard news and analysis.

My reporting centers the mental, emotional, social and economic reality of life in South Africa. The personal is the political. I have been published on the front page of the New York Times, in the Daily Maverick (South Africa) and in the Mail & Guardian (South Africa) amongst other titles.

I’ve worked on documentaries for Al Jazeera Witness and BBC Africa Eye.

I’m also the host of my podcast Golden City, a collection of the best stories you’ve never heard about Johannnesburg, South Africa. In each episode you’ll meet a different Joburger who will tell you their own true story about life in the City of Gold.
